Help:Changing a username

An Ekopedian's user name is not neccessarily definitive. Upon request, the administrators can change and customize a user's account and the history of articles so that all his past contributions will be attributed to the new account.

At present :

• in theory, only accounts corresponding to 5 000 contributions at most can be moved; (this uses a lot of resources on the server)
• it's not possible to choose a name that already exists ;
• the contributions a user may have added anonymously can't be taken into account (the IP address cannot prove your identity).

Apply to administrators. Before choosing your new name, you'd better follow the recommandations for user accounts. Mind the request must be motivated, this possibility cannot be taken for granted.
