[edit] Before adding English Language content read this
http://en.ekopedia.org/Talk:Main_Page
Almost all Ekopedia's pages can be modified by all the visitors, even without preliminary inscription. You can add contents, correct it or simply to format it.
Here steps to follow:
[edit] Step 1 : Reach the edit page
To edit an Ekopedia page, click on the tab Edit showing on the top of pages.
[edit] Step 2 : Text editing
The whole page's text then shows up in an edition field, even though it's form isn't nearly the same. You can edit it here. In this zone, make any wanted changes, correct errors you see, add or remove text and so on... You'll notice that every paragraph is separated from the one before by an empty line and that the text contains special characters like '', ''', [[, ]]. It's the ekopedia syntax ; don't worry about it right now.
[edit] Step 3 : Preview
Before saving your changes, always consider their result on the page's normal appearance : click on the Show preview button, located under the edition zone.
The modified page then appears above the edition zone, in Preview mode. You may go back to the edition zone (now located in the bottom of the page) so as to modify the text again if necessary, then click again on the preview button, this as many times as you wish.
[edit] Step 4 : Save changes or cancel
If you change your mind and chose not to save your your modifications, click on the Cancel link places right from the buttons Save changes, Show preview, etc.
Don't forget to write in a few words the global meaning of your modifications in the summary box located under the edition zone. Otherwise, also tick off the checkbox saying This is a minor edit.
Finally, click on the button Save changes.
Good job ! You just contributed to Ekopedia.
[edit] Notes
- The Sandbox is a page dedicated to free tests and training.
- A page's layout (titles, lists, links, font styles, etc.) requires the use of particular characters : this is Ekopedia's syntax.
- Somebody may be editing the same page at the same time. This is called edition conflict. In that case, when you're ready to save your version, a message will tell you what to do to harmonize the two modifications. To avoid this, add the {{Inuse}} panel. approfondissez votre
- Some pages read view source instead of edit. These pages have been blocked for some reason and you're not allowed to edit it.
- To get back to the previous version of a page, click on history tab, then on the date of the version you wish to restore, then onedit and Save.
- When you edit a discussion page (and only then), please, sign your modifications with. (~~~~).
