Hyssop
From Ekopedia
Hyssop is a flowering plant used in herbalism and in making liqueurs.
The earliest recorded use of hyssop was to clear the air in sickrooms. Hyssop was suitab;e for this because of its strong "medicinal" scent. It was popular in the middle ages as a flavouring for stews, and is now used to flavour the drinks Benedictine and Chartreuse.
In traditional medicine, a syrup of its leaves and flowers is a cough remedy; the plant has expectorant and antoiseptic properties. A hyssop poultice is useful for bruises.
