Lodging: a basic need !The most autonomous way to answer this need is to build one's own dwelling. We may prefer to renovate our house, to create or join ecovillages. Once you've set your mind on a dwelling type, you'll have to maintain, insulate it, imagine and analyze the best ways to save and produce energy to be as self-sufficient as possible as regards heating, water, and to limit our impact on the environment : Waste Management. |

The word ecovillage was born form the fusion of ecology and village. It's a widely term used to represent several community models. They try to integrate a mutual assistance social environment with the least impact on the ecosystem. To achieve this, several sustainable techniques are used such as permaculture, ecological building, green production, renewable energy, self-sufficient agriculture and so on.
